WHY DO YOU NEED A HEADSHOT?

Appearances count. What's more, a first impression is everything in business. This is especially true in the professional realm. A professionally taken headshot conveys who you are as a person, can be an indicator of your level of professionalism, sets you apart from your competitors, can help build emotional connections with your customers, can boost self-confidence, and can create consistent and cohesive branding for your company. These aren't just pictures. They're proof that you and your employees know who they are, know what they're doing, and are proud of your organization.

Lifestyle headshots, on location, can represent you in your natural environment.

Studio headshots allow you to present the "you" as you want to be seen, free of distraction and full of expression.

Including your tools of the trade can add an element of realism and professionalism to your headshot.

WHY STONEFIELD?

WE LISTEN...REALLY.

It’s easy to hear what others are saying, and make assumptions about what they mean, without truly understanding. In our business, that could be a big problem. When we meet with customers, we ask all the questions we need to, in order to ensure that we understand EXACTLY what you need, what you have in mind, and what your expectations are. If that takes extra time, well, then so be it.

PREPARATION ENSURES SUCCESS.

After getting to understand who you are, what you stand for, and how you want to portray yourself and your business, we'll put our technical skills to work crafting the light, setting, and your appearance, and choosing the shots to create the professional images you need to grow your business.

FAQ: IF IT'S NOT COVERED, CONTACT US.

Q: What is a headshot?
A: According to Wikipedia "A head shot or headshot is a modern portrait in which the focus is on the person. The term is applied usually for professional profile images on social media, images used on online dating profiles, the 'about us page' of a corporate website, and promotional pictures of actors, models, and authors."
Makes sense, but there's more to it. They shouldn't just be a picture of a person, they're really a visual introduction of that person, and should have a point. You get to decide what that point is, and we have to make sure we create products that get to that point.

Q: Are there different types of headshots?
A: Most definitely. An actor's headshot isn't going to look like that of an attorney, or a baseball coach, or doctor, or entrepreneur. We need to understand you and your brand, and then create an image that will project that. That's what we do.

Q: What kind of headshot do I want?
A: That depends. What's your job? Are there standards in the field? How do you personally wish to be portrayed? Are there other, personal considerations? Although there are some guidelines, there are no rules. We'll work the details out together.

Q: What goes into a headshot?
A: First, we need to talk, which is when we'll figure out what you're really looking for. Then, we'll figure out the number and types of images you want. Then, we'll get you on the schedule, and figure out a location. You'll get advice and options regarding hair, makeup, and wardrobe so you can plan these as necessary. A few days out we'll chat just to make sure our plan is still unchanged. The day of the shoot, we'll set up lighting, computers, scenery and props, and then we'll meet. We'll go over what you're looking for again, and then we'll tell you about the plan for the shoot so you know what to expect. Then we shoot!

Q: When can I expect to have the images?
A: That'll depend on what you want, and how many, which will dictate the amount of post production work that'll be necessary. Regardless, we'll talk about this before the shoot, so that you know what you can expect regarding delivery of the product.

Q: What if I don't like the images
A: That's always a possibility I suppose. That's where our professional ethics will come in. It's pretty important that you walk away happy with the product, and working with us. We aim to under promise and over deliver. If you find that you're not satisfied, contact us as soon as possible. We'll do whatever we reasonably can to make sure you either walk away smiling, or at least feeling like you were treated respectfully, professionally, and fairly.

Q: What do I have to do to start the process?
A: Click the CONTACT link (left) and get in touch. We'll get back to you ASAP and we'll begin the process of meeting your business needs.

Q: Where will we shoot?
A: I can come to you. If we have empty space equal to the average bathroom, we can set up lighting, backdrop, and seating for the subject. If you'd prefer an outdoor, or office background, we can do that too, but need to be sure it complements the photo, instead of being distracting.
